Birthday Cake

The girls were in awe of their candles.

Allison awaiting her first piece of birthday cake.
Sydnee awaiting her sweet treat.
Allison's first bite of birthday cake.
Sydnee's first bite of cake.
Allison figured out that is was easier to just pick up the piece of cake and take a bite.
Sydnee needed a break between bites.
Will enjoying the cake he helped make for his sissies.
Jack and Moose sharing a bite.
Allison's face looked a little like a clown when she was finished.

Sydnee stuck with the smashing technique.

Happy 1st Birthday, Girlies!

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since our family welcomed Sydnee and Allison.  While this past year has been a blur, it seems ages ago that the boys were turning one.  Thank you to everyone who has made a trip to help out and those in town that have lended a hand when we needed one.
Jack and Will decorated the house with streamers and balloons while the girls took their short, morning nap.  Syd and Allie really dig paper products so they were excited to tear the streamers down and get in a few bites before Moose and I stopped them.

Fall update

Sydnee and Allison being sissies.  This is a rare happy moment in the van.  The girls are not as content in their car seats as the boys were.

Sydnee is walking!
Sydnee pushing Allie on the motorcycle.  It was a beautiful fall evening.
This weekend Grandma Linda, Papa, and Frankie came for a visit.  We went to Blooming Barnyards for the corn maze and to check out the pumpkins.

Labor Day Weekend

We were fortunate enough to spend Labor Day weekend with friends just outside of Ann Arbor, MI on Cavanaugh Lake at the Wiese family compound.  There were 16-18 adults and 8 children under three and a half.  Thanks to Eli for planning the weekend and to the Wiese family for your hospitality.
The boys loved the "speed boat".

Will enjoying the waves.

The girls were happy explorers around the house.

We had great weather, except for a brief thunderstorm Saturday evening.

Mom and Allison by the lake.

The boys enjoyed noodle fights.
