New things

The boys and I went to some garage sales yesterday before venturing to Davenport. It has become a Saturday morning tradition. I have found some great clothes for them and books for my classroom. This week Jack started clapping on his own. He is very proud of himself:)
Will is working on transitioning from sitting to crawling. He can move himself backward on his hands and knees, but no forward movement yet.

Weekend pictures

Will is moving all around the floor these days. He is not crawling quite yet, but he is up on his hands and knees rocking back and forth. On this day, he backed himself under the end table. Jack is now our "nuk" baby. He doesn't need it all of the time, but he does like it now and then. This pacifier was given to us by our friends from Kansas, Joe and Casey-Go K State!
Being that it is a Saturday in the fall and the Big Ten is playing, I thought it would be appropriate for the boys to sport their Michigan onesies. Eli and the rest of the Michigan crew will appreciate this photo.

CHS 10 year reunion

This past weekend I was home for my 10 year class reunion from Centennial High School. It was an absolute blast. It was fun seeing where people are at, what they're doing, and most importantly what they look like:) I must say that the ladies looked better than the guys. The boys enjoyed a weekend with Grandma Linda. Moose is still working 12 hour days. There is no end in sight in the near future. They have started hiring and training temps. Once properly trained, the temps can begin a rotation so that people can have days off. However, Moose does need to get back to his regular responsibilities as well. So, we'll see. Again, if anyone is looking for a weekend getaway, the Benner Hotel in sweet, sweet Muscatine is open and it is free!

Weekend pics

Grandma Linda, Uncle Robb, and Aunt Kathy came for a visit this weekend. They were a big help around the house and with the boys. Their company and conversation were warmly welcomed. Will is getting on his knees and rocking back and forth. He'll be crawling in no time!
It was a little chilly here in Muscatine this morning. Their first real jackets!

After dinner

After the boys have their fruit and vegetable, they have a 4-6oz bottle. They have been trying to hold their own bottle for awhile now. But tonight, they really seemed to have a good hold on it.

Back on track

This week I received my last grade for my Masters! We are now back to a regular schedule that is less hectic. I am so glad that I completed my teacher licensure at the U of M. It took me two classes to finish up the M.Ed. licensure I started in the spring of 2003. Therefore, the boys and I were able to enjoy a night at home while Moose worked his 13th consecutive 12 hour plus day. After their bath, the boys put on some different pjs due to the drastic change in temperature. They wrestled around a bit on a beautiful quilt that was handmade by their great-aunt Jan. We also played a great game of Peek-a-boo. Due to recent teething (in my opinion), Jack has become a Nuk baby. His aunt Elizabeth must be proud:)

The first round of my wrestling matches to come.

We usually do multiple rounds of Peek-a-boo when the boys are laying on our bed. We pop up from different sides of the bed until they give a us a good belly laugh.
