Happy Beach

The view from my book. We each built lounge chairs into the beach. We even gathered some rocks to use as coasters.

Island paradise. The first time we went to Happy Beach we trekked all the way from our resort. It was an interesting path but completely worth it.

Views from Grand Case Beach Club

This is the hallway to our room. We stayed at the beach club on Friday under the cover of shade.
The end of our hallway looked out over this parking lot and into the bay. Grand Case has several fine French cuisine restaurants. The bay was full of yachts during the week.
The beach from the Sunset Cafe where we eat our breakfast of bread, butter, orange juice, coffee, and omelets for Moose.

St. Martin

Our first picture in paradise. The sun was setting on Saturday evening. You can see Creole Rock in the background. The sun set into the ocean. We watched from the newly constructed walkway. Our first night out we discovered Calmos Cafe. It is a bar/restaurant located on Grand Case Beach. The sand is the flooring and lounge chairs are available on the beach.

Spring Break

Last week, Grandma Linda and Grandma Irma made the pilgrimage to Muscatine, IA. They enjoyed a solid week of full-time grandparenting while Moose and I gallivanted our way to the island of St. Martin. We stayed in the northern part of the island on the French side. Our resort was in Grand Case on the beach.

Trying to escape

Will was trying to escape the bouncy chair barrier we have in place to keep the boys out of the office area.

Jack and his rosy cheeks. They are both fighting off ear infections and runny noses this weekend.

Jack dancing to one of the many musical toys.
